Madeira is a group of islands in the Atlantic ocean. Although the archipelago is geographically closest to Africa, the destination is politically and ethnically a part of western European country Portugal. Those who travel to Madeira may be seeking the sun, the surf, or the historical sightseeing. But when you’re staying in a place like The Vine, you may not want to leave your hotel at all
The Vine is a 5-star luxury hotel located on Madeira Island - the larger of the only two inhabited islands in the archipelago. The accommodations are spacious and feature opulent but streamlined and sophisticated.
Speaking of soothing, The Vine offers relaxation in some of the most beautifully designed bath and relaxation spaces. In the hotel spa you can indulgent in some Vinotherapy and take in the gorgeous architecture.
Award-winning Portuguese designer Nini Andrade Silva relied on the colors of the wine growing season to further the theme and make the spaces both calming and vibrant. Each of the four floors of the hotel features a predominant color of the vineyard seasons. The 2nd floor is green for spring, the 3rd floor is purple for summer, the 4th floor is grey for winter and the 5th floor is brown for fall. The construction of the building was led by Spanish architect Ricardo Bofill.
