Maybe it's a sign of a slowing economy – but even The Donald seems to be focusing on The Discount these days.Instead of dedicating the upper levels of the new Trump International Hotel & Tower Chicago exclusively to decadent penthouses in a stratospheric price bracket, the building's 72nd through 85th floors feature several one-bedroom homes priced at around one and a half million dollars or less. The apartments will be the highest one-bedroom homes in the city, boasting amazing views, luxury amenities, and everything you'd expect from a Trump address...only scaled down.
Sales Manager Leah Harriet explains this is due to an unprecedented amount of interest from buyers looking for "an in-town or part-time residence."She also added that the Trump one-bedrooms are hardly typical of a one-bedroom apartment, with an additional powder room and ample storage space.Of course, for the more typical Trump buyer, the building still features several 4-bedroom penthouses listed for multiple millions of dollars. All residents can enjoy the building's lavish amenities, including a spa, state-of-the-art fitness center, bars, restaurants and more. And if you can't afford the move in cost of between $580,000 (for a lower-floor studio) and 9 million (for one of those penthouses), you can still indulge live like The Donald for a few luxurious nights as a hotel guest.
