If you’ve ever seen the classic Greek sculpture of Venus de Milo, then you know she has a bit of a frowny face on her. The reason, we think is that the sculptor, Alexandros of Antioch, forgot to include the mirror she was supposed to be looking into when he delivered it. Though scholars disagree, many think this is the very mirror that Venus was supposed to be looking at. How do we know? Look into it and you too will feel like the Greek goddess of beauty. But you’ll look far better than her because your arm wasn’t busted off accidentally.
